Nelki's Story

FROM THE TROPICAL VALLEY OF THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC TO THE EVERGREEN STATE

I moved to Seattle in 2018 to marry my wife who grew up in West Seattle, together we are Chavez Sheds. 

In the Dominican Republic I worked as a baseball and personal trainer helping young athletes try to reach their major league dreams. Now in the United States I needed to find a new field; little did I know that a free wood ad on Facebook would lead to an exciting new career. I made a shed out of reclaimed cedar decking for my mother-in-law and that was it. I found a new love in woodworking and making beautiful yet functional pieces.
